With the feeling of being in a boat (Barbault’s Basket) sailing towards the Eclipse season. Eclipses are linked with fate and awkwardly re-orientate our inner compass.
The polarities of Leo and Aquarius are at full play on the Full Moon as it has Pluto conjunct it in Aquarius. Directly across the zodiac wheel they face off the Sun in cazimi to Jupiter in Leo. Both are fixed signs and their focus is on maintaining or establishing projects and therefore don’t want to back down. But realistically any polarity requires the positive attributes of both to meet in the middle and seek compatibility if a progressive pathway forward is to be forged.
Adding oomph to this, is that only a couple of days before the full moon we experienced the shift of the nodal axis with the North Node now in Aquarius and the South Node now in Leo. The North Node shapes our collective destiny, and the South Node makes us aware of what we need to let shed. The nodes are associated with karma – the law of cause and effect and guide us towards spiritual evolution.
As oppositional forces Leo is productive, creative and expressive fire and blazes a trail of fire offering warmth and light as its ruling planet is the Sun. Its symbol is the Lion, and it is male, so it naturally encourages us to exhibit courage, action, leadership and is heart-led. Leo season encourages us to passionately follow our heart and has good intentions but can make us aware of our fragile ego when others oppose us by disputing our intentions for selfish means. I suspect the South Node in Leo asks us to revisit the past and be more conscious of the role of the motivations of the ego and whether your goals are heartful. We are likely to see figures of authority including celebrities, oligarchs and politicians exposed as their true selfish and careless motivations come to the surface.
Aquarius is the humanitarian and its symbol of the water bearer tells us it wants life to flow with ease and supporting everyone and everything. It is an air sign and conversely can be seen as cold, mentally calculated, innovative and focuses on the future. Its ruling planets are the disciplinary order seeking Saturn and the revolutionary Uranus offers breakthroughs through sudden events.
With the North Node is Aquarius we are encouraged to focus on the collective needs and renovate life, whilst exploring new scientific possibilities. Our challenge is to establish fairness; to deepen our connection with nature so we don’t sacrifice our Mother Earth family in the drive to increase our use of technology. We also need to increase the compatibility of our heart intuition and compassion with our head needing to be open minded and yet reasoning.
So let’s explore what this full moon supports…
The full moon is when the entire face of the moon is lite-up by the sun. The rays of the sun are reflected to the earth and energise the lunar magnetic qualities of the zodiac sign it is in. It is around a full moon that we experience more vivid dreams, and you maybe more self-aware, sensitive and reflective. Sensitivity is aroused both emotionally and psychically. Things you may have preferred not to look at, often demand your attention. The magnetic energies are penetrating the psyche far deeper at this time of the month and with the oppositional light it penetrates deeply into the darkness exposing the inner and hidden worlds.
If the moon is Yin and the sun is Yang then it is interesting to contemplate that Pluto is small, heavy and dense, again it is polar opposite to Jupiter known for its size, gassiness and grandiosity. Both the full moon and Pluto deepen our self-awareness as the unconscious is penetrated. It may feel like an excavation of the shadow, or it can feel like answers and solutions are flowing.
With the Sun and Jupiter in Leo you may not be alone in expecting some drama of sorts to erupt on the world stage!
It is important to remember you do have a choice with any full moon in that you can work intentionally. I call this optimising. It is not bullet-proof as fate is unavoidable but brings you into your creator role. None of us came into this life to be a victim but neither did we come to harm others.
My recommendation to optimise are to:
1. Light a candle and some incense. (Represents fire and air taking your will out into the cosmos)
2. Energetically and intentionally, align, balance and strengthen your connection with Earth and the Divine Source.
3. Select a crystal or crystals to hold.
My personal choices for this Full Moon are AQUAMARINE for its clarity and truth and CARNELIAN for its energising and active creative support.
4. State your intention for this full moon
An example can be
“With this full moon I now let go and liberate my true self of all detrimental and sabotaging influences and energies that are imposed by my ego or that of others that prevent my soul’s expression and the Divine Unfolding of higher consciousness on Earth. I choose to grow and develop balance between my heart and my head and to maintain my connection with Mother Earths truth. The blessings of the Divine Source flow abundantly and are recognised. IT IS DONE”
5. Allow the candle and the incense to continue till they naturally extinguish.

With gratitude to all individuals who support me.
Love always.
