This is the kick up the arse time. You’re not scared of dying you’re scared of living your dreams. There is a jostle between courage and fear.
This New Moon on 17th April 2026 at 12:51pm (BST) turns up the heat as it joins 6 other planets in Aries. Aries is a fire cardinal sign and is much like the Ram that represents it, meaning that restlessness, impatience and intolerance could be an issue we experience more intensely now.
As fire, desire and will are strong now and there is a strong desire for action, growth and movement. The lack of such desires being fulfilled can lead to frustration and a Ram that is frustrated can be difficult to manage. Reality is sinking in and things need to be said (thank you Mercury and Eris) and healing needs to happen (thank you Chiron).
Relationships on a personal level can be challenging, if we don’t maintain our connection with our heart and above and below. The Aries within does not have to be in physical battle with others to get its way as action can come in many ways! We need to remember our heart is the same as others right now and likely to be feeling fed-up of being pushed around and disillusioned. Compassion and belief in a greater benevolent spirit needs to be brought to the surface and turned both inwardly and outwardly (thank you Neptune).
If the heat and the intensity is too much, it means you’re not channelling it into something. If your still confused about what to do, burn it off physically so it doesn’t come out like a frustrated explosion. This energy is here to be used… you can focus it where you want but be warned it can be constructive and destructive and the results are lasting.
When the Sun moves into the Taurus energy of the bull, the pace slows down and it brings us back to earth, enabling us to pace ourselves for the work that needs to be done.
This year is all about building strong foundations so that your dreams can become real. Draw inspiration from the hope and knowingness that nature is showing us. The flowers and trees continue to grow through difficult times and guess what.. so can you!
My intuitively selected crystals for this new moon are Green Aventurine paired with natural Citrine. Both are members of the quartz family. For me, I find connecting with Aventurine is balancing and its sparkle reminds me that wonder and hope are magical in how these feelings subtly change your energy to be more open to supportive solutions. Citrine for me always lends a sunny disposition that opens me up to inspiration and awakens confidence.
